Google Analyticsの集計で、ある1時間だけ訪問数がゼロになる現象
昨日3/10にGoogle Analyticsの集計で、ある1時間だけ訪問数がゼロになる現象が起きました。
具体的には、Google Analyticsの「ユーザー」→「サマリー」→「時間別」と選び、「2013/3/10 午前2時台」だけが訪問数がゼロになっているのです！
※昔から使っているため、アメリカ時間(西海岸？)になっています。
まずはウェブサーバーが落ちている可能性を疑ったものの、特におかしい点は見つかりません。
そもそも、前後の時間は大きな変化も無くて、特定の1時間だけ訪問数がゼロにするのが難しいと思います。
よくわからず放置していたら、ふと思い出したのが、アメリカのサマータイムです。
下記リンクを見てみると、実施期間は「3月の第2日曜日午前2時から11月の第1日曜日午前2時まで」とあり、今年はなんと「2013/3/10 午前2時」で切り替わるのです！
この切換えは毎年2回あるのですが、Google Analyticsの時間別集計を使い始めたのは最近のため、それまでは気付かなかったためのようです。
(1日毎の合計値だと気付きません…)

どんな問題が起きたのかとドキドキしていたものの、答えがわかれば簡単で毎年起きる現象という事でした…
本当は日本時間設定に変えればよいのですが、その設定を変えることで問題起きても嫌だなあと思いつつ、後回しなのでした。
